Bridges of Respect provides free humane education presentations for middle schools, high schools, after-school programs, colleges, and community groups in the Twin Cities metro area.
Founded in 1999, Bridges has given thousands of presentations to tens of thousands of students and has received excellent feedback from both teachers and students. The interactive presentations raise awareness about important issues affecting people, animals, and the environment. The program encourages critical thinking, leading participants to understand how their actions can have an impact.
Programs are flexible in length, modified for each age group, and tailored to fit curricular needs. Plant-based food samples are often included with presentations.
Children trained to extend justice, kindness, and mercy to animals become more just, kind and considerate in their relations with one another. Character training along these lines in youths will result in men and women of broader sympathies; more law-abiding in every respect more valuable citizens.–U.S. National Parent-Teacher Association Congress
Bridges of Respect is a program of Compassionate Action for Animals.
